The Making of Estate at Blue Pyrenees
Blue Pyrenees Estate was established in 1963 by the French company Remy Martin, and was among the modern Australian wine industry's first ventures into cool climate viticulture. Known for elegant and medium-bodied yet full-flavoured red wines, Blue Pyrenees' winemaking philosophy is epitomised in its Bordeaux-style red blend named simply 'Estate'.
Join winemaker Andrew Koerner at Blue Pyrenees Estate for a guided tour of the winery and a tasting of the iconic Estate throughout the vintages. At this masterclass guests will learn the finer details of the making of this timeless classic, sampling vintages throughout its history from the inaugural 1982 to current release 2013.
The masterclass concludes with a share plate lunch at the cellar door (matched with the Estate vintages of your choice) showcasing the best of seasonal local produce.
